ST. GEORGE, Utah -- The Southern Utah men's tennis team faced Northern Arizona at home where the Lumberjacks topped the T-Birds 2-5. The men also traveled to Las Vegas where they fell to UNLV 2-5.

On Friday, Conor Tordoff began the home match in singles play where he secured a T-Bird victory against NAU's Joachin Shaefer 3-6, 6-4, 6-2.

Tordoff later paired with Jose Ortega in doubles play where the T-Bird duo topped Daniel Dillon and Chris Steele 6-3. RJ Parker and Keonho Shin also competed in doubles play where they topped NAU's Eban Straker-Meads and Facundo Tumosa 7-5.

Despite the hard fought battle, the T-Birds fell to the Lumberjacks 2-5.

In Las Vegas, Shin and Parker paired again in doubles play where they secured a victory over Alex Kobelt and Jordan Sauer. Nolan McCaig and Jake Williams also defeated their UNLV opponents 6-4.

Shin also competed in singles play where he secured the only T-Bird win against Tom Cizweski 6-3, 6-1.

The Thunderbirds were topped by the Rebels 2-5.

The team looks to compete next against the Sacramento State Hornets in St. George, Utah on Friday, March 20.
