Soccer Adds Eight Recruits on National Signing Day

CEDAR CITY, Utah – The Southern Utah University women's soccer team and head coach Kai Edwards are excited to announce the addition of eight new student-athletes on National Signing Day. 

Out of the eight players SUU signed Tuesday, six are local talent from the state of Utah.

"We are very excited about this class with a lot of in-state and surrounding regional talent, said Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator Mario Felix-Suarez." This is a very athletic, hard-working, and competitive group. These young ladies are the right additions to our current roster. The staff has worked hard to find the right fit, and these eight are just that. We are very excited to have these young ladies all on board."

Addison Larsen, Attacking Midfielder, 5'10", American Fork, Utah. (American Fork High School) 

Addison Larsen will be joining the Thunderbird soccer program from American Fork High School and the USA Metro soccer club. 

Larsen is a Utah High School 6A State Champion, Region Champion, and a two-time Utah Youth Soccer Association State Champion. While at American Fork, she was a three-year starter and racked up 13 goals with six assists. 

Campbell Erickson, Defender, 5'8", Saratoga Springs, Utah. (Westlake High School) 

Staying in Utah for her collegiate career, Campbell Erickson will be joining the Thunderbird soccer program from Westlake High School and the USA Metro Soccer club. 

Erickson is a member of the 2020 Utah All Valley team, a Utah State Cup Finalist, and was named MVP of her high school team. Campbell scored nine goals and six assists in her last two seasons at Westlake. 

Annie Haycock, Forward, 5'8", Kaysville, Utah. (Davis High School) 

Sticking with the Utah trend, Annie Haycock will be joining the SUU soccer program from Davis High School and Wasatch Soccer Club. 

Haycock was a four-year starter at Davis and was named captain of her team senior year. During her time as a Dart, she scored 30 goals, while also being a vital part of the 6A State Championship team in 2020, where she scored the game-winning goal in extra time to upset American Fork. 

Morgan Christensen, Holding Midfielder, 5'10", Pocatello, Idaho. (Highland High School) 

After wrapping up her prep career for Highland High School and CGA Academy Soccer Club, Morgan Christensen will be joining the Thunderbird soccer program from Pocatello, Idaho. 

Christensen was named first-team All-State in her junior and senior seasons. As a three-year starter, she was named team captain her senior year and was a vital part of her team's run to the Idaho 5A State semi-finals this season. 

Camryn Kennedy, Midfielder, 5'8", Salt Lake City, Utah. (Rowland Hall High School) 

Staying in-state for her Division l career, Camryn Kennedy will be joining the SUU soccer program from Rowland Hall High School and the USA Metro Soccer club. 

Kennedy is a three-time 2A Utah High School State Champion, a four-time region Champion, and a four-year starter for the Winged Lions. During her senior season, she was named team captain and team MVP after leading her team to the State Finals for the fourth straight time. 

Libby Anderson, Forward, 5'3", Syracuse, Utah. (Clearfield High School) 

Libby Anderson will be joining the Thunderbird soccer program from Clearfield High School and Wasatch Soccer Club. 

Anderson was a three-year starter at Clearfield and was named Offensive MVP in her senior season. She led her team three straight seasons in goals, totaling nine throughout her prep career. 

Brooklyn Northcutt, Goalkeeper, 5'7", Cedar Hills, Utah. (American Fork High School) 

Another future Thunderbird that is staying close to home for her Collegiate career is Brooklyn Northcutt. Northcutt will be joining the Thunderbird soccer program from American Fork High School and the Utah Celtic Football club. 

Brooklyn is a four-time State Cup Champion and a two-time Regional Champion. She played two years in goal for American Fork. She earned three clean sheets and was a crucial part of her team's run to the 6A State Championship. 

Kayzee Vaughan, Midfielder, 5'7", Pocatello, Idaho. (Highland High School) 

Kayzee Vaughan is joining the Thunderbird soccer program from Highland High School and the CGA Academy Soccer club. 

Vaughan was named Idaho 5A 1st team All-State, 1st team All-Area, and 1st team All-Conference. In her last season at Highland, she was a big reason in her team's run to the 5A semi-finals. She was also named to the Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program in the Western Region during her younger prep years.
