Notes and Quotes
Last Time on The Pitch: The Thunderbirds last took the pitch on September 12th against the visiting Pacific Tigers. Both teams came out strong, but after 60 scoreless minutes, Pacific's Jeanne Packford put the Tigers on the scoreboard with a low shot to the bottom left corner of the net. The Thunderbirds fought hard to get back in the game, but couldn't find the equalizer.
Edwards On his team's outing against Pacific: "It was unfortunate, we played a very good Pacific team, and give them credit because they found a way to win. To be honest, that's the best total soccer that we've played in the last two years. We maintained possession, created chances, but unfortunately, the game didn't go in our favor. We have to continue to finish chances and win more moments."
Edwards On The Matchup against Rival Dixie State: " It's a huge rivalry game. I don't think there needs to be a hype speech or anything like that. I expect an absolute battle back and forth from both teams. Our group has done a great job of developing, and they've grown every step of the way. We will see what happens on Thursday."
