BOULDER CITY, NEVADA -- Rashon Williams shot a final round 71 to propel himself to a T10 finish at the Jackrabbit Invitational in Boulder City.
The Thunderbirds finished fifth of 12 teams at +25 for the tournament. Scoring better in each round after opening with a 303.
South Dakota State won the tournament, shooting +4 as a team. UC Santa Barbara came in second at +7 for the tournament and Creighton came in third at +8.
Bryson Mercier of SDSU took medalist at the tournament, shooting -5 for the tournament. Three players tied for second at -3, Alejandro Alonso from Loyola Marymount, Blake McGovern from UCSB, and Brandon McGarry from North Dakota.
"Weather wasn't great on day one, and some of the guys struggled with that. We are still trying to find consistency throughout the lineup and hopefully we can put together some quality tournaments," said Head Coach Richard Church
