ST. GEORGE, UTAH -- Tanyatorn Excel Thalangkarn had a six-shot lead at the conclusion of day two but just couldn't quite hold on to it during the final round. She ultimately finished at +1 for the tournament after a final round 78.
The Thunderbirds finished ninth of the 13 teams competing, finishing at 68 over par.
"We had some really good rounds, if we can eliminate a few of the big numbers, and learn to not compound our mistakes we have a chance to have a spectacular season. I am very proud of the girls and excited to keep working," said Head Coach Tara Oglesby.
Boise State won the tournament, finishing at +30 as a team; Weber State came in second place, shooting +40 as a team, and Utah Valley and Oral Roberts finished in a tie for fourth place at +43.
Boise State's Leia Chung and Wyoming's Jadan Gonzalez tied for first at even par for the tournament.
