CEDAR CITY, Utah - As Southern Utah's volleyball team gears up for another exciting season, let's focus on the talented trio of setters who will play a crucial role in orchestrating the team's offense. With experience and fresh talent, the Thunderbirds are well-equipped to make a strong showing on the court. Here's a closer look at the three key players setting the stage for Southern Utah Volleyball.
Head Coach Kacey Nady Said
"This year's setting lineup is very balanced and talented. We have the seasoned veteran in T, who has a vision and feel for the game like I've never seen before. Next is Ally, the tallest setter in our conference at 6'2, which adds an incredible block on the right side of the court. To round out our setters, Nalani will bring consistency and steadiness to our team in terms of the multiple skills a setter needs."
Senior - Teniyah Leuluai
Hailing from West Jordan, Utah, Teniyah Leuluai is entering her senior season. She has been a cornerstone for the team, bringing a wealth of experience and a proven track record of performance. Last season, Leuluai appeared in all 26 matches, leading the team in total assists with 561 while contributing significantly in digs and service aces. She recorded double-digit assists in 21 matches and set a season-high of 48 digs against Eastern Washington.

Before joining Southern Utah, Leuluai played at Portland State, where she demonstrated her skills in both her sophomore and freshman seasons. Her high school career at Copper Hills High School was equally impressive, where she set school records for assists and received numerous accolades, including being named Regional MVP.
Sophomore - Allison Rohrer
Allison Rohrer returns after a solid freshman season, where she appeared in all 26 matches. Rohrer finished second on the team in total assists with 298 and set a season-high with 43 assists against Utah Tech. Her performance last year showcased her potential and reliability as a setter, and she is expected to build on that foundation this season.

Freshman - Nalani Muniz
Freshman Nalani Muniz from San Diego, California, joins the team with an impressive high school and club career. At The Bishop's School, Muniz was a standout player, earning multiple accolades, including Coastal League Player of the Year and First-Team CIF San Diego. She also captained her high school and club teams, leading them to significant achievements, including a top-10 finish at the Girls Junior National Championships.
With her strong leadership skills and a decorated high school career, Muniz is poised to make an immediate impact on the Southern Utah volleyball team.
