COTO DE CAZA, CALIFORNIA -- The SUU Men's Golf Team posted consistent scores on their way to a T9 finish as a team at the 2025 Vanharte Orange Country Collegiate Classic hosted by UC Irvine and Cal State Fullerton.
Head Coach Richard Church said
"We had some guys do some good things this week. There are areas that we can improve on, but this was a challenging course and I thought we battled out there. We know what we need to do to get better, now it is about going out and doing it."

The Thunderbirds
An even par final round from Rashon Williams propelled him to a team-best T17 finish at +5. Williams had two birdies and two bogeys in the final round.
Sophomore Charlie Gillespie was top-ten through the first 36 holes. Firing rounds of 71 and 74 on day one. Gillespie made a total of eight birdies for the tournament and finished T20 at +7. Atthasit (Anfield) Srichun closed with a round of 75 to finish at +15 and in a tie for 39th.
Boston Dixon competed as an individual and had a quality opening in round 77, which led to a T45 finish. Donovan Barnes finished 51st, and Colton Cherry finished 54th.

The Thunderbirds will tee it up next at the Nick Watney Invitational on February 24-25 in Fresno, California, at the Sunnyside Country Club. Fresno State hosts the Tournament.
