CEDAR CITY, UTAH -- The SUU Men's Golf team is heading to Springfield, Missouri, to compete in the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate, hosted by Missouri State, on March 17-18.
Head Coach Richard Church said
"This is another tournament where we really feel like we can compete with some of the teams. It is a farther travel trip the normal, but the guys are ready to compete and come away with a good result."

When: March 17-18. 9:00 a.m shotgun start.
Where: Springfield, Missouri.
Course: Twin Oaks Country Club. Par 71, 6,739 yards.
Field: Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Bradley, Eastern Illinois,  Evangel, Lindenwood, Missouri State, Northern Iowa, Omaha, SIU-Edwardsville, Southern Indiana, Southern Utah, Western Illinois.

SUU shot +14, 302 in both rounds on the tournament's opening day, then came out and shot a +20, 308 in the final round.
Charlie Gillespie led the way for the Thunderbirds, finishing tied for 12th at +9, with an even par 72 in the second round. Rashon Williams wasn't far behind, finishing T16 at +11.Â
Luke Barnes competed as an individual and turned in a gritty T18. After firing an opening round 80, Barnes shot even par in round two and then +4 in the final round.
Leo Torres finished T25 at +15.
Donovan Barnes last competed in the Vanharte Orange County Collegiate Classic where he finished T51.
