MARICOPA, ARIZONA -- The SUU Men's Golf team completed 54 holes of play at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic, hosted by the University of Wyoming at AK-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.
Head Coach Richard Church said
"That is a tough tournament with a really good field. It was a good test to set us up to compete at the Conference Championships."

The Thunderbirds
SUU finished at +47 as a team, shooting rounds of 304, 303, and 304. Senior Donovan Barnes made a hole-in-one on the 160-yard par-3 fourth. This highlighted his low tournament round, a four-over-par 76.Â
Rashon Williams led the Thunderbirds, firing an opening round of two under par 70 that led him to a T48 finish. Leo Torres had the next-best finish for SUU, coming in at T109, shooting rounds of 77, 75, and 79.Â
Charlie Gillespie had a quality final round of 75 to finish at T111, Barnes wasn't far behind at T114, and Jing-Cheng (Jarell) Wang finished 118.
