PAYSON, ARIZONA -- The SUU Men's Golf Team started the WAC Championship very hot, leading by as many as six shots during round one. But The Golf Club at Chaparral Pines hit back, and the Thunderbirds ultimately finished the tournament at +74 as a team.
Head Coach Richard Church said
"We showed how much talent we have during the first round but we need to be able to sustain that for a full 54 holes. I'm excited about the experience our younger guys got and I'm looking forward to next year."
