Serving the majority of his professional career in several different roles at Southern Utah University, Davidson was most notably an athletic trainer for the Thunderbirds.  In 1999, Davidson was named the National Athletic Trainers' Association Most Distinguished Trainer, and in 2007 was inducted into the Rocky Mountain Athletic Trainers' Association Hall of Fame.
