Monaco is a basketball legend who left an indelible mark on Southern Utah University's Athletics History.  His leadership and skills on the court were instrumental in guiding the Thunderbirds to a coveted spot in the 2001 NCAA Tournament.  Monaco's extraordinary playmaking abilities were exemplified by his record-setting 15 assists in a single game, a feat that still stands as a testament to his Basketball IQ and Court Vision.  Additionally, upon induction, he ranked second in SUU's record book for steals in a single game, showcasing his defensive prowess.  During his senior year, Monaco lit up the scoreboard with an impressive 17.5 points per game, earning him the well-deserved title of 2000-01 Player of the Year.  His legacy as a basketball player is one of excellence, leadership and record-breaking achievements that continue to inspire the SUU Community and beyond.
