Anthony was named SUU Athlete of the Year from 1969-70. He was also selected All-District VII and All-RMAC Shortstop in 1970 and 1971.  He also earned MVP on the Southern Utah State College baseball team those same years.  He was an All-American shortstop in 1971 and was given the Scholar Athlete Award from 1969-70.
